American Heart Association
The American Heart Association is one of the oldest and foremost organizations devoted to fighting cardiovascular disease and stroke, and LDPM has been a strong supporter. It is an organization that’s really meaningful to all of us here. Not only are we dedicated to helping them in their continuing efforts by volunteering and participating in things like Heart Walks. We’re also committed to maintaining financial support at both the national and local level. In fact, we recently had an opportunity to make a difference right here in our community with a donation in the Montoya family name. Salvation Army
December is the busiest time of the year across all of our stores, yet each year our associates and managers find time to participate in the Salvation Army’s Angel Tree Project. This past year, our staffers went all out for kids in need in the Raleigh, Durham and Wilmington areas of North Carolina, and collectively spent $4,500 on toys and clothes. Horse and Buddy
Bill Dawson, our CEO, sits on the board of this unique organization, whose mission is to enrich the lives of people with special needs in Wake County and surrounding areas through horseback riding. “Horse and Buddy has always been near and dear to my heart,” says Bill. “In 2013, I had the privileged honor of helping to launch their first Charity Golf Classic Event, and it was a tremendous success.” To learn more about Horse and Buddy, make a donation, or volunteer for an upcoming event, simply click HORSE AND BUDDY.
